Individual coaching sessions

We offer individual coaching sessions where we provide a confidential and safe environment for discussion with no judgement and only support.

Those sessions are suitable to all levels within academia: whether you are a PhD student, a Post-doc, a Fellow, or a Faculty member.

We offer tailored solutions to critical aspects of the personal and professional development during the career of an academic such as knowing yourself, ensuring career progression, developing a successful team, managing your workload or managing stress.

Those sessions will allow you to identify and evaluate what hold you back and enable you to take the right decisions and advance in your career.

Every session is different and we will adapt to your specific needs. However, typically before we start a session, we would work with you to identify which specific topics or issues you wish to solve, then we would tackle one topic at a time in each session of 45 min. Each session would end with a number of open questions for you to work on your own until the next session. The period between two sessions will be up to you, depending on your needs.

Based on our experience in coaching many academics at all levels, we have found that a pack of 4 sessions of 45 min is ideal to work on most issues over a 4–6-month period.

Give yourself the opportunity to grow in your career, you will not regret it.

If anything is unclear, feel free to contact us.

The coaching experience with Damien has been very positive for me. I have been accompanied in topics like writing my first research grant, manage the relations with my colleagues and how to face the challenges in my academic career with high professionality and a very kind approach. Finding a coach who has also the expertise that I would like to develop for my future has been incredibly fruitful for me and I feel lucky to have met him.

The coaching sessions have been extremely useful to me and I strongly believe they were pivotal in finding a first PI position which truly matches my interests. Damien provided helpful advice at every step of the process from screening through suitable positions to preparing for interviews. The setting was friendly yet focused, and I feel the sessions also boosted my confidence in considering ambitious projects. Thank you very much!
